100th Day of School!

Not to long ago we had the 100th Day of School, my co-teacher and I decided to mix some fun in with lessons. We hid 100 Hersheys kisses all through out three classrooms, the basement, kitchen, entry ways and hallway. The children were given about an hour first thing in the morning to find them, they hunted the place up and down and even found the ones I put in hard places! Last period we played a lot of Minute To Win It games. Those were so much fun to watch, some of the children had really good coordination! We were missing some students that day but it was still fun, we wish they all could have been there!

We split the school into three groups and picked a hunter from each group, the rest of the children were hounds. The hunters could not find the Hershey kisses we hid but their hounds could, then the hounds barked until the hunter came and got the kiss. It was hilarious! The school sounded like a dog pound for about 45 minutes. For the most part they found all the kisses within an hour, later during break they found the remaining ones, all but two,  which us teachers forgot where they were. After the children left for the day we did find them. It was funny, some of the students would totally miss the kiss and move on to a different place! We would just laugh and see who would finally notice it. :)

The boy on the left was a hunter and his little brother was a hound, that was totally missing the chocolate kiss up on the bulletin board. Mr. Hunter had spotted the kiss. :)

My poor room was sooo inspected, especially after they knew three more kisses were in there.

"Yes Miss Young really put one in there!"
