Tuesday January 7, 2014; Framing Day 4
Tuesday the fly rafters (side overhang) were done and
decking started going on the roof. Nathan Strubhar let us borrow his lift, so
that made it were both fly rafters could be done at the same time. Steve
Shetler and Andrew did the south side and Jeremy and Luke did the north, with
John running back and forth between the two lifts. Andrew was able to see just
what he was going to be dealing with roofing an 11 inch pitch. With the lifts
it wasn’t too bad putting decking on, but at one point I was holding my breath
with what one for the guys was doing. Tomorrow the underlayment goes on. When
Andrew asked the best way to get that on without it rolling off, everyone
started laughing. He was given a pretty good idea so we’ll see how that goes….

| Measuring the peak |
| Get a real good look at these two, all to get a measurement. Some of the positions the guys would get into would take your breath away and send up a quick prayer. |
Some pictures the guys took....give them the camera and you get some real interesting photos. :)
