It all began 26 ½ years ago, when we were married, well
let’s fast forward as to not bore our readers.
It all began Monday November 4, 2013 we were up and ready for the buyer
to come and pick up the mobile home we had sold. We learned at 11 am they could
not purchase it at that time.
So we prayed, and called a friend who gave us numbers of
some folks who might be interested in purchasing it. One of the folks we called, contacted someone
else who indeed was interested. There were actually two folks interested, and
that is a story for another day. To make a long story short we sold the mobile
home for a second time that day, and found out they would be moving it Thursday
November 7, 2013 at 8 am.
Thursday morning dawned bright early and found our family ready
to watch the “show” only to find out I could have had a more relaxed morning
since they didn’t show until 10 am! Not a good sign. Not a good sign at allJ
So the show began, what should have taken 1 to 2 hours took
5 hours! Read on below to see why.
Well there it goes!
Hmmm… do you think it is stuck little one?
Well, maybe so it sure isn’t moving!
| What happens when 3 out of 5 bolts to the tire are stripped out and are now missing? Major axle issues! |
| On the driveway! |
| Luke Nolt and Andrew |
| Finally it's at the bottom of the driveway! |
If you will look very closely you will see John Nolt; one of the
brothers from our Church, under the axles which are under the trailer welding
away JThe
axle bent as they pulled it up the hill, thankfully the Lord had already
provided!
| As we were coming back they tried to pull the trailer out on the road, but got stuck....again. |
Do you see the white van off in the distance? That is me
(mom) do you see Andrew on the phone looking on? That is me he is on the phone
with saying “ well we have another problem” These folks sure kept John busy.
There was a “hill” at the bottom of the lane the bulldozer had to come along
and knock out that hill so the house could go. That was after John used his
truck to back up their truck so they could get the dozer by. If it hadn’t been
such a long drawn out, somewhat boring day this would have been laughable, and
in truth it is nowJ
| It's hard to see because of the sun; but the front right corner of the trailer is resting on the road. |
| Also the side is stuck on dirt. Those two things equal.....stuck again ;) |
| John scraped some dirt away and they tried again with the dozer.... |
Even Wakita, the dog, had to come and watch this oneJ
| After five hours it's on the road!! |
| Making the turn onto Vinco. |
Even John and the boys had to come see them off!
How to cause a scene…haul an 18 foot wide trailer off your
property and then have the driver park it on the road, while his guide vehicle
moves cones in a construction zone so they can get by. Yes, that white car went
off the road, and yes, that van is blocked and can’t get by, not to mention the
vehicles in between you can’t seeJ
Finally at 3 something in the afternoon, we sent it off down
the road..whew you never know what you are getting into sometimes!
